Project length depends on project scope as well as budget. A fast track project can be built, as is in the name, quickly. However, the faster one moves, the more expensive the project gets. There is a balance between speed and efficiency.
Typical Remodel/renovation : For smaller projects, the timeline is typically heavily dependent on getting sub contractors scheduled.
Bathroom 4-8 weeks
Kitchen 6-12 weeks
Addition size dependent
Whole House 4-6 months
Typical New Construction : New construction scheduling is made longer or shorter based on scale and location. A big factor for new construction is the review period obligated by SDCI, or the Seattle building department. New construction can actually be faster than renovating. There are a lot of other aspects that can speed up construction. Some degree of prefabrication can greatly reduce the amount of time to build, and can be accomplished during the review period for SDCI.
Design 2-3 months
Design Review 5-6 months
Construction 5-10 months
