64TH STREET RENOVATION

The client wants this traditional 4square house to have more of a presence. The current house is sterile and puritan. There is a move to add more architectural details and style. The additions include a front porch and a rear porch. The initial impulse was to keep the street facing facade traditional, and the rear facade more progressive and contemporary. During the initial design review the idea of implementing a more contemporary feature that integrates the front and rear porch was reached.
